Brothers | DNA Testing
Clean your doubts! Determination of the relationship between brothers.
We are the #1 in Sibling testing
Brothers DNA Testing compares the genetic material (DNA) of one person with that of another to determine the likelihood that they are biologically related as siblings. In most cases, parenting tests are carried out to determine paternity, whether or not the two persons have the same biological father. This is often the case in situations where the prospective father is deceased, imprisoned, unwilling or unavailable to participate in a paternity test. In a legal environment, mothers often present the results of their sibles’ DNA tests to obtain social security survivor benefits for their children. In such cases, the biological father of a child is indisputable and the mother must prove that the other child has the same father. Sibling DNA tests are also frequently performed to provide evidence of the biological relationship of U.S. immigration applications. Rarely, as in cases where a child was given for adoption, a sibling test can also be performed to determine whether another person (perhaps located many years later) the same biological mother.
Things to Know About Sibling DNA Tests
A sibling DNA test is useful in determining whether individuals are full siblings, stepbrothers/sisters, or have unrelated family DNA. Whenever mothers are known, it is strongly recommended that they be included in the test. Including the mother (s) in the test can increase the combined probability ratio ten times, where you can see a probability of 98% instead of just 83%.
If two children know that they share the same mother and want to see if they also have the same father or, they know that they share the same father and would like to see if they both have the same mother, they would piss to be tested as full brothers in front of half brothers.
If two children are not sure whether they have the same mother and father and may not share any of them, they would have to be tested as full siblings versus unrelated siblings. If two children have different mothers and want to know if they have the same father or, know that they have different parents and want to know if they have the same mother, they would have to be tested as half siblings against non-relatives.

DNA tests are very accurate. Our laboratory meets and exceeds all standards (AABB). The results of a standard legal paternity test are at least 99.99% probability of paternity for inclusions or 100% certainty of exclusion.
When it is impossible to prove an alleged father, there are more options, paternity can be established indirectly (for example, uncles, aunts, grandparents, siblings…).
A DNA collection is very easy to get. Only with a sterile swab rubbed inside the mouth for 20-30 seconds is more than enough. NY DNA Testing is here to help you!
